Only way I'll ever order again is if I'm given a gift card and I can honestly say I'll never step foot in the store again.Click to expand. That's my thoughts as well Dakota. After waiting 2 weeks and still not getting what I ordered I can honestly say I'm done with them. When I got the gift card for Christmas I was dissapointed, but then excited at how much they had online compared to the store. I only used GM for necessity last minute items, mainly shells even though they have a horrible selection. Used Bass Pro when I lived in Florida for fishing stuff, but haven't used them since moving back to PA or since I've been waterfowl hunting. The few times I've checked them out they've never had what I wanted so I've pretty muc written them off. I'm not usually a browser and when I want something I want it to be exactly what I want. Cabelas is def my 2nd favorite mainly because when they run their sales you can get some great deals, as I did on Friday with my 1st goose call! You are right they do cut back on waterfowl stuff right about now, but I like it cause you can get some great deals and they stock right back up before the season starts up again. You guys are right as far as sales they don't really have the deals the other places offer, but the selection can't be beat and they are great to work with. As far as their pricing I'd say everything is right at msrp or a little below, which is what most places charge. and rather than carrying the hunting load, they only carried the Home Defense loads.and they idiot wanted to argue with me that they were the right load to HUNT with.I am never going there again. which I had to find for their store clerk. Also, on a side note I wanted to buy a box of Remington Wingmaster HD 3" 1-3/8oz 4 shot. Hence the reason there is now more women's outdoor clothing and stupid seasonal nick-nacks, than actual waterfowl riously :huh:ĥ.) Bass Pro: Terrible selection, ( they only had 4.yes 4 Canada goose full body decoys in stock in Oct? ) and their prices are ridiculously high. Would rank the more popular stores in the following order, from best to worst:ġ.) Mack's: Yeah, its a little more expensive, but they have the most in-stock, and their customer service is awesome.Ģ.) Cabela's: Pretty decent pricing ( 40% of decoys till the 14th  ), but even they are starting to scale back thier waterfowl gearģ.) Rodgers: in 3rd place ( only because of their lack of variety ), but their pricing is usually killer especially on shellsĤ.) Gander Mtn.: Owned by the same folks that own Home Depot, so they are only in it for a profit. I guess I'm in a ranting mood today, ( my 4 month old was up every hour on the hour last night ) so here it goes. How do the rest of you fell about GM? I personally love Macks and Cabelas is a close 2nd. Needless to say they will not be getting any of my business in the future. I only ordered from them cause I got a gift card for Christmas. Their big competitor but the little guys too! I do most of my purchasing thorugh Macks and haven't waited anywhere near this long. Again you can say Cabelas is bigger and better, but the funny thing is not only are they being outplayed by. ![]() ![]() I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago and still haven't received my stuff! If a week goes by and I haven't received an order from Cabelas you can almost bet the house it will be there the next day. With all of this being said my complaint is with their Internet operation. Ok ok we all know this isn't a fair comparison as Cabelas is a huge super store and GM is more like a more hunting oriented *****. I have a Cabelas about and hour and a half from me and I go there about 6 times more often than GM (once month to Cabelas twice a year to GM). They stock absolutly nothing for waterfowl hunters which is funny considering the name they chose for their stores. So I have a Gander Mountain about 20 minutes from my house.
